This month at Direct Mobility Hire we are focusing on moving and handling equipment. We also detail our Christmas opening hours.

HOISTS

We have a range of moving and handling equipment available for both short and long term hire. We predominantly use the Invacare range of hoists, including the Birdie and Birdie Compact mobile hoist, the Reliant 350 standing hoist, and the Robin Gantry system. Invacare Birdie and Birdie compact
The Invacare Birdie and Birdie compact (see image above left) offers a truly comfortable lift and transfer to or from beds, chairs or even the floor. The lifters are designed to ensure that folding and unfolding can be carried out easily and without the need for tools. In addition, the lifter can be dismantled into two parts if needed– also without tools. Click here to find out more information.

Invacare Reliant 350 Stand Assist
The Invacare Reliant 350 Stand Assist (see image above middle) is a compact and manoeuvrable mobile lifter that provides safe and comfortable assisted transfers for those with limited mobility or rehabilitation needs. The Invacare Reliant 350 can be used to transfer a client that cannot transfer unaided, but has some level of weight-bearing ability, from one seated position to another. Click here to find out more information.

Invacare Robin ceiling hoist
The Invacare Robin ceiling hoist (see image above right) provides a unique and innovative method of transfer. The patented ‘Dual Strap’ system has no spreader bar; offering a safe, flexible and comfortable transfer with optimal client and carer contact.
