Hire Contract: Will start on the day of delivery (or pick up) and terminate on the day of collection (or drop off) unless notice for collection was made and we agreed a later collection for logistical reasons.
Cancellation: A pre-booking should be cancelled as soon as possible but within 72 hours of delivery to avoid any charges. If the equipment has been delivered, the minimum hire charge of 1 week, plus the delivery charge will apply.
Delivery: Normally within 24 hours, if requested within normal hours of business. Normal hours of business are Monday-Friday 8.30 am to 4.30 pm. Equipment will be assembled and fitted as required.
Hire period Rates: The minimum hire charge is 1 week. We also offer fortnightly, 4 or 6 weekly rates. Some larger items may have an 8- or 12-week rate, please enquire.
Payment For Hire: Payment is required at the time of booking unless an authorised account facility is in place. Preferred payment method is credit or debit card.
Early Return (All items): If the items are finished earlier than the chosen hire rate, you can request an early return. If the collection date falls into a lower hire period, a refund will be due. (For example, if you take out a 6-week hire, but return it in the 3rd week, a refund will be due back to the 4 weekly rate). Any refund due will be made by the same method as payment was received.
Early Return (individual items): If you finish with some items, but not the whole contract, an early collection can be arranged. You will be charged a £10.00* additional collection fee (may be more if the initial delivery category was B or C). Any refund due will be made by the same method as payment was received.
Hire Period End: Unless a collection date has been pre-agreed, we will contact you by telephone or email on the period end date (or the prior working day) to take instruction for either the collection and completion of the contract or a hire extension. If no contact can be made and if a message has been left and not replied to within 24hours we reserve the right to automatically extend the hire period from the return due date for the same hire period or until you contact us to advise differently.
Hire Extensions: This can be made at the end of the hire period and charges will reflect the original hire rate on a weekly pro-rata rate unless a longer period rate is requested (in which case that rate and any subsequent hire extension will be charged at this rate).
Trial hire period: If within the first seven days of any hire period you decide to purchase any of the items, then we will refund all the hire charges relating to the item against the purchase price. If a decision to purchase is made after this period, then a maximum refund equal to the relevant weekly hire rate will apply.
Damaged and Lost: If the equipment is damaged or lost whilst on hire, you will be charged at the full retail repair or replacement cost. Insurance is not included in short term hire charges and will remain the responsibility of the hirer. The equipment is your responsibility from the time we deliver the goods to the address you gave us, or when the goods are collected from our showroom.
VAT: Will be applied to all charges at the prevailing rate unless the appropriate exemption declaration we provide can be completed and signed by the user or carer.
